The Future of Mississauga is brighter than ever! With the ever growing population more services have become in demand for the great residents of the city. Mississauga's goal is to become one of the premier cities in Canada. 

As they work towards this, they are following their six guiding principles towards making Mississauga the most desirable city. These guiding principles include catalyzing employment, building a multi-modal, creating an urban place, an initiative towards living green, establishing a focus, and lastly a development framework with predictability.

In  looking at these 6 principles Mississauga is well on their way towards making life easier for residents who work in Mississauga through accessible transit systems, and offering a wide range of activities and events catering to the community.

If you've lived in Mississauga your entire life then you have certainly seen some major changes. Get ready for some more as Square one goes under more developments in time for 2015. The southwest expansion will see the addition of many stores with a Holt Renfrew department store opening its doors in 2016. Holt Renfrew along with many others will help serve the needs of an ever growing Mississauga population, particularly in the downtown core.
