Hudak not supportive of LRT! What does this mean for You?

Tim Hudak has announced his ambitions towards improving subway service and existing GO
stations. This comes as a major development in the race for Ontario provincial premier. Mississauga mayor Hazel Mccallion was shocked by the statement Hudak made claiming that subways investment cost four times as much as the dedication to the LRT.

The LRT is proposed to run from Queen street in Brampton south to Lakeshore road in Mississauga. The long term action plan of the LRT is scheduled for projected completion in 2022 pending appropriate funding.

What does this mean for the residents of Mississauga? If you live anywhere along Hurontario street, whether it be in a house, condo, or apartment building, prepare for either silence or drilling.

If your a resident anywhere along the LRT's route some of the benefits can include;
  • Easy access to LRT
  • Faster route to work/school
  • A transit system catering to major stops in Brampton & Mississauga
All of these benefits of course are pending completion.

If your a resident anywhere along the LRT's route some of the drawbacks can include;
  • Long duration of construction (minimum 10 years)
  • Congestion within your neighbourhood
  • Sleepless Nights
So be sure to consider and look at all the facts when you head to the polls June 12th.
