This article is called Canadian home prices drop in December. It was written by Andrea Hopkins and appeared on the Reuters website. In Canada, sales of current homes have dropped in December due to slower activity in the buying or selling of homes in Calgary and Edmonton because of the tumbling oil prices. The industry group for Canadian real estate agents said “generally the Canada sales were down 5.8 percent in November”. Despite that, overall the sales in Canada in December have risen up to 7.9 percent from December 2013. For the past 5 years, Canada’s housing markets have been running strong and will continue to with the smooth readings on the sales-to-new-listing ratio. This will keep the Canadian housing market stable according to the agency.
