Ready to Buy? How to Make the Most of Your Open House Visits

Here are 4 tips to get the most out of your open house visit:

1.       Do your homework

·        Take time to do some online research on the house your to going to visit.

2.       Bring proper tools

·        Be sure to bring a pen, notebook and a measuring tape so you can follow up with any questions you have since you might be visiting more than one open house on that day.

3.       Stop, look and listen

·       Take your time and really look around the house so you can get a feel of what it’s like to live there. Also, you might miss out on something that you'll like about the house or not.

4.       Engage in chit chat

·        Talk to other people at the open house because open houses tend to draw in neighbours and even the seller. Therefore, you can get more information about the neighbourhood. Also, introduce yourself to the seller because it can help out if you place a bid.
